Well here is the proof that I am now a qualified Copic Instructor. We are currently running Introduction to Copic Ciao in various locations throughout the UK. Our new class “Next Step with Copic”(too attend this class you should have already taken our Introduction to Copic class); and the NEW to UK Copic Certification courses will be introduced later this Spring. Watch our website/blog for details. Alternatively contact me and I’ll let you know as soon as we have a class in your area.
I have lots of exciting Copic plans in the pipeline including a new Copic Online club with challenges, Copic friends and regular Copic Wednesday with hints, tips and techniques and card samples.

Life has been chaotic over the last couple of weeks… The most exciting news (drumroll….) is that I am now a Copic Certified Instructor -one of the first to become qualified in the country. I will tell you all about in over the next couple of days but basically it means that we will be able to offer Copic Certification classes in the UK (details of dates and venues to be announced shortly). On top of that we attended the trade show in Birmingham and the Make It show in Farnborough…
Just before I travelled overseas for my Copic Course my laptop died and I have only just been able to gain access to the blog so sorry if you were desparate for our news.
Our Copic pricing will be increasing next Monday (our prices when up in December so we have held the pricing for as long as possible) so if you know you need Copics order asap to get the unbelievable price of just £2.00 per Copic Ciao Marker.

Due to demand Karen & I are coming North with our Introduction to Copic Classes. We are offering the Introduction to Copic class in Bromborough in the WIRRAL on Sunday 9th May 2010. This is the day after the Happy Stampers NW Festival which takes place in Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight. If you wish to visit the festival it is essential to pre-book tickets with the ladies as no tickets will be available to buy on the day. Another quick and easy card for Valentines’. Again I have used clear stamp set CL162 - can you tell I love that set! If you would like the set for half price you need to be fairly quick.. My circle punches have been doing overtime I have used them here to make a circular border but overlaying the circles.

Yesterday I promised to show you that the Valentine’s stamps can be used for other occasion especially the Sweet Heart stamps (CL162) which includes images and wording for friends. Here is a quick card I have made for a friend. Sometimes just changing the colour (away from red) can make all the difference too.
I have used:
CL162 Sweet Heart Clear stamps
TR9 Purple Dreams paper (also available in our 6×6 Tickertape paper selection)
Circle Punch (1.5″)

If you are living in the West Country and want to know more about COPIC, do not miss our forthcoming Introduction to Copic Classes.
We are offering the class in EXETER on Saturday 13th March (venue to be confirmed but hopefully around the Clyst St Mary area - which was near Westpoint where the recent Craft4Crafters event took place); and in BRISTOL on Sunday 14th March.
A typical class runs, as follows:
10:15 – 10:30 Arrival
10:30 – 11:00 Introduction to the World of Copic; including Papers, inks, and products overview.
11:00 – 12:30 Colouring, 4 blending methods, and using the colorless blender
1 hr lunch break – Lunch will be available to purchase at the hotel or bring your own packed lunch.
1:30 to 3:00 Now you will be set free to colour and blend using the Copic Marker pens and use rubber stamps, and ask any questions of your Copic Certified teachers.
Jackie had this to say about the class she attended in Berkshire “All four of us had a great day at the Copics class run by Wendy from Stamps and Memories. Karen & Wendy taught us basic colouring techniques using the Copic pens and filled us in on all there is to know about Copics. Only 5 days to Valentine’s Day, so if you haven’t made a card for that special someone you really need to think about it now. The card that I’m showing today has been made with our CL162 Sweet Hearts Clear stamp set (half price at just £7.50) and not just for valentine’s day as tomorrow’s card will show. Note I have cut a circle from the centre of the card and mounted the cup image on the inside of the card.
