Funky Class

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Our first class for 2010 was an amazing success and some very kind comments made by the delegates including 10/10 score for the class by all delegates.  They also commented about how much they enjoyed the relaxing and (non pressured selling) atmosphere and Maggie commented on how comfy the chairs were!!  Guess that’s important when you seated for two hours plus of fun crafting!  The class was using the Funky Flower stamps together with the new Martha Stewart combo punches and Nellie Snellen floral punches.   Unfortunately my camera and pc seem to have fallen out and I cannot upload the card sample but here is a similar one I’ve just pinched from my friend Jo’s blog!  I will add the photos to this entry as soon as I can find someone technical to help!

Happy Birthday Mum

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

It’s my dear Mum’s birthday today, and I’m sure she won’t mind me showing you the card I have made for her.  She is 83 years young today, I cannot believe it (and neither can she)!!

I have used the gorgeous Leigh Hannan Victorian Rose stamp (F2064) http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1246

Try not type rose in our search and see all the different “Rose” themed products available.

Bu7 Rose paper from the AED Bud range, White Square 6×6 card

Copic Ciao Markers (if you’d like to know the colours, email me and I’ll try to find my listing) and the Black Memento Inkpad

Martha Stewart Combo Round Lattice Punch set http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=246&products_id=2904

Lilac Rhinestones to decorate corners of card

Ribbon Tag Nestabilities and Ribbon from my own selection

The card is elegant but simple to make.  I added a ribbon wrap around the card which is tied on the back so it can easily be slipped off to open and read the inside greeting.  The back is rather plan but if you wanted to you always cover with the Bu7 Rose paper.  This shows the bow on the reverse img058

We have lots of new items arriving in stock a the moment including the new Martha Stewart punches in time for the forthcoming shows (details to follow).

Check out our website for full details but here is a teaser of how lovely the new Punch around the Page looks.  I have already posted a card using the new Combo Round Lattice punch set, and others will follow.  Shown below are some of our lovely 6×6 AED Floral papers which have been punched using the Combo Double Loop punch,  This punch is currently in stock but I’m expecting a sell out so order today if you don’t want to be disappointed.  We will be demonstrating this punch at our Kintbury Show this Saturday.

Nothing for it but to keep on crafting

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

What else can you do with the weather like this!!!  (Oh forget housework etc!!)  Surely it has to be crafting!!

I’ve made this card for my good friend Janet who celebrates her birthday this week.

I have used the Daisies stamp from Clingable Stamp set 3049-XL which contains a wonderful selection of floral stamps (this is my favourite floral stamp set).  It is also available as a smaller wooden stamp and this is on special offer at just £4.99 (whilst stocks last).

I have stamped the Daisies with Tuxedo Black Memento Inkpads onto our Smooth cardstock and coloured with my Copic Ciao markers.  Note:  Although the daisy petals appear white I have actually coloured using C1 which is a very pale shade of grey.  I have then mounted this onto a green card and added small green pearls to the corners.

I have taken the same green cardstock measuring 5×5″ and cut with the fantastic Martha Stewart Combo Ring Lattice “Punch around the Page” set of punches.  http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=246&products_id=2904     This creates a wonderful card for laying on your 6×6 square cards.  I really love this series of punches as there are so versatile, you can use just the corner punch, the border punch or use them together to create these effects.  I have used the new Deep Edger Happy Birthday border punch from Martha Stewart (available from my website).

Finally to finish I have added a 4×4″ patterned paper and then just layered the card together.

Roll on Springtime!!!  Happy Stamping, Wendy

New Martha Stewart

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Just in case you’ve wondered why I’ve not been online for the last few days - I’m afraid I’ve been doing my VAT return (a job I hate)  and updating my website with….  Martha Stewart has just announced numerous new additons to the punch family and I have just loaded them onto my website (unfortunately we are still awaiting images for some designs).  The supplier is estimating that delivery will be early September but that’s only a month away so why not pre-order?

My favourite has to be the Loop family which can be used together to create a frame  - see images below, and I cannot wait to see what the DIY Christmas Tree will look like…
