New Glittered Florettes in stock

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

img005 Finally I get to post a completed card!!  Life has just been a rollercoaster recently including attending shows all over the country. Thought you may like to see this card which uses our new white glittered florettes from Petaloo.  http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=281_313&products_id=3210 I have simply coloured them with my Copic pens so that they co-ordinate with the colours in the background paper.  Even coloured you still see that wonderful sparkle.

For this card I have used:

I have used

Funky Flowers set
Coloured with Copic Ciao
Black Memento Inkpad
Nestabilities Circles and Circle Scallop
Glittered Florette Flowers

Just a reminder that we are currently offering FREE P&P on all orders over £10 from our website at www.stampsandmemories.co.uk

Elegant Cards for Elegant Ladies

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Jo (my stamping friend and helper!!) visited last night and we had a great relaxing time chatting and crafting.  I was busy finishing the preparation for tomorrow’s class which called Elegant Cards for Elegant Ladies.  I’ll be using the wonderful Sarah Phelps clear stamp sets. Here’s a sneek peek of one of the cards will be making.  img003 The main image and background paper were stamped using CL214 -  Flowers for You -  clear stamp set.

The gorgeous rose vase image was stamped onto our copic white card with a black mementos and coloured with the Copic Markers (BV00, Bv02, BV04, Yr00, YG63, YG41, C1) and cut with the oval nestabilities.  This was layered onto a larger scalloped oval cut from green card.   The background was simply randomly stamped with a Black Memento Inkpad onto white card, which was mounted onto green card and then onto the main card.  To finish i added a dragonfly brad.

Other local classes between now and May 2010 can be found on my website.  The new class schedule will be released on Saturday 17th April at our Kintbury Spring Extravaganza where we’ll be joined by Karen Watson (cardmaking royalty!!)  Karen is sure to inspire you to come along if you can.

New Nikki Stamps

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

I have just finished loading the new brand new “Nikki” selection of clear stamps to my website.  These images are ideal for all your feminine friends, sisters etc and there’s a design for almost every occasion.  The stamps were so popular at the recent Harrogate show that we sold out of some designs within hours…

Here is a card that my talented demonstrator Karen designed

img002

Stamp used in Martini Nikki http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3105 and it has been coloured with Copic Ciao Markers.  I hope you like it!!

Love is in the Air 3

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Only 5 days to Valentine’s Day, so if you haven’t made a card for that special someone you really need to think about it now.  The card that I’m showing today has been made with our CL162 Sweet Hearts Clear stamp set (half price at just £7.50) and not just for valentine’s day as tomorrow’s card will show.  Note I have cut a circle from the centre of the card and mounted the cup image on the inside of the card.

Don’t forget to email me if you would like me to search for something for you at the forthcoming trade show…

Funky Class

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Our first class for 2010 was an amazing success and some very kind comments made by the delegates including 10/10 score for the class by all delegates.  They also commented about how much they enjoyed the relaxing and (non pressured selling) atmosphere and Maggie commented on how comfy the chairs were!!  Guess that’s important when you seated for two hours plus of fun crafting!  The class was using the Funky Flower stamps together with the new Martha Stewart combo punches and Nellie Snellen floral punches.   Unfortunately my camera and pc seem to have fallen out and I cannot upload the card sample but here is a similar one I’ve just pinched from my friend Jo’s blog!  I will add the photos to this entry as soon as I can find someone technical to help!

New Home Card

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

img060

Home Sweet Home…  (if only!!)  This gorgeous card was made by DT Karen Watson, using Impression Obsession stamp H1747 and has been coloured using Copic Ciao Markers.  Karen has used the really useful Sentiments Set (WP16) to create With Love…  The border punch is from Martha Stewart and is called Floral Lace.  Note the White Pen lines which have been drawn on the pink card to create a stitched effect.  All items are available from my website at www.stampsandmemories.co.uk

Happy Birthday Mum

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

It’s my dear Mum’s birthday today, and I’m sure she won’t mind me showing you the card I have made for her.  She is 83 years young today, I cannot believe it (and neither can she)!!

img056

I have used the gorgeous Leigh Hannan Victorian Rose stamp (F2064) http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1246

Try not type rose in our search and see all the different “Rose” themed products available.

Bu7 Rose paper from the AED Bud range, White Square 6×6 card

Copic Ciao Markers (if you’d like to know the colours, email me and I’ll try to find my listing) and the Black Memento Inkpad

Martha Stewart Combo Round Lattice Punch set http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=246&products_id=2904

Lilac Rhinestones to decorate corners of card

Ribbon Tag Nestabilities and Ribbon from my own selection

The card is elegant but simple to make.  I added a ribbon wrap around the card which is tied on the back so it can easily be slipped off to open and read the inside greeting.  The back is rather plan but if you wanted to you always cover with the Bu7 Rose paper.  This shows the bow on the reverse img058

Vibrant Flower Card

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Just thought I’d share some cards which I recently created for some special friends birthdays.  These new stamps from AOD would make great Christmas gifts for any stamper and until 4th Jan 2010 we are offering FREE P&P..      I will be demonstating using this stamp selection at our forthcoming Kintbury January Sale event on the 9th January.  (If you need details please email me).

My best friend Jo has just celebrated birthday and this is the card I made for her.  I used Jo’s favourite colours yellows and orange.  These are colours I don’t use very often but I’m pleased how well the colours co-ordinated with the papers.
