The Joy of Giving

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

img007This image makes me think I should start my christmas shopping!!  The image is from Sarah Kay and is now back in stock.  She has been a popular stamp at the recent shows and looks great coloured with the Copics.  The card has been supplied by Heidi from Stampavie and designed by Michelle Oatman from her Design Team.    The Red Rhinestone borders and corners helps add that special classy touch.  Hope you like it…

Have you started your Christmas Cards yet?  If so how many have you made?  I guess with the postal strikes I should have made a start but have I ? Nope!!!  I have only made a few sample and demo cards so not setting a good example.  I always say that I will start earlier the next year but it doesn’t happen, with all the craft shows we exhibit at, they just isn’t enough hours in the day!!!  As always it will be a last minute rush..  So come on everyone put me to shame and tell me how many cards you have made for Christmas!!

Snowboardabella

Monday, October 26th, 2009

img005I’m sure you’ll agree that Karen has made a great card using the Snowboardabella stamp image.  She has coloured the image with Copic markers.  Note the grey shadow around the image - this makes the image stand out on the card.  She has used our Christmas Kaisercraft papers which are available - just give us a call as they are not on our website since stock is already quite low…  The image has been cut with the Rectangle Nestabilities and layered using co-ordinating card stock from Karen’s own stack.  The snowflake punch is the Arctic Snowflake punch from Martha Stewart.  Any questions just give me a shout.

Forthcoming shows (last of the season):

Sunday 1st November - Ringwood Show (see show info on our website)

Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th November - Hobbycraft show at the NEC, Birmingham.  We are stand no F06.

We’re Famous!!

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Can you believe that the Newbury Weekly News (our local newspaper) turned up at our recent event and took a photo of Karen & myself with Eloise?  If I’d had known I would have visted the hairdressers!!!  img004

It’s been a busy week for one so famous!!!  doing VAT returns etc but I wanted to share this lovely card which Jo from my design team made using the new Ice Skate Stocking Cling stamp from Impression Obsession.   If you would like more info I have just added this to my website and have just 3 remaining in stock.  Both of my design team members have purchased this stamp - they just love it!!!  It is a truly elegant Christmas image.

pa1728051Customers travelled far and wide to attend the recent Kintbury Christmas Papercrafting show.  We were so busy I almost forgot to take a photograph!  However there was still plenty of room for people to look at all the products including stamping supplies, decoupage, stencils, stickers and lots more; and watch the various demonstrations from Karen and myself.  Any late arrivals will have seen an extra demonstration from my great niece Eloise!  pa172808At just two years old she is already showing a great interest in crafting and in particular Copics and fun flock!!!   The girl has great taste!!

It had been a long day with setting the hall up etc but  what do you think we did after packing all the stock back into the shop?  We made a card…although I must admit I feel like putting my head on the table and going to sleep!  We used my new Mistletoe & Mice stamp which we coloured with Copics!  img002This stamp is due any day (depending on Royal Mail)… and is available from my website as a pre-order.  Check out what my friend Jo made here http://joscraftycardcreations.blogspot.com/2009/10/sketch-saturday-73.html#comments

More card ideas to follow soon.
