Phew…  What a busy time we have had recently with all the shows etc!  Whilst we love meeting our customers, shows are very hard work so it is nice to know that we now have a little rest from them until next year!!  Show dates for 2010 will be added to our website soon - don’t forget to add them to your diaries or calendars!!

Karen (from my Design Team) gave me this gorgeous card using one of the new Impression Obsession House stamps (G1746 Victorian Porch).  She has coloured it using the Copic markers.  Can you see the wonderful blended look?

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) is Stamping Friends club so I will tell you all about that soon - we are making Jo’s Easel Cards!  Another event this week is our Introduction to  Copic Class in Lutterworth (Leicestershire) on Sunday.  We are already planning our class schedule for next year so if you would like a Copic Class in your area just drop me a line.

More Mice & Mistletoe

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Just had to share this card with you.  Customers have already fallen in love with this cute Stampavie image (see our previous entry).  This card was made by one of the Stampavie Design Team and is absoutely gorgeous.  Note all the details - charms, punched shapes, ribbons etc.

Don’t forget if you are coming to Hobbycraft at the NEC, Birmingham this weekend to pop by stand F06 and say Hi!!

Xmas Teddy

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

This is what I shall be demonstrating at the NEC (whilst stocks last).  He’s  adorable, so cute… and there is a surprise with this card as it is an Easel card. (Instructions on how to make this card will follow soon together with a photo of the card standing up - it is really gorgeous).

He has been coloured using Copics (R27, R29, E31, E33, E35, R20, and the blender pen).  Plus I used the Red and Olive Green Spica Glitter pens to colour the Holly and add sparkle.  Glamour Dust glitter has been added to the Santa hat .  The card has been cut using my new Nestabilities Label 9 and we ran a red inkpad around the card before layering and mounting the card.  The snowflake punch is Martha Stewart Collective Snowflake and is currently in stock (may not be after the NEC!).

Another version of this card, using a different colour scheme:  img015

The teddy has been coloured with Copics but this time I used W1 and W3, R20 and BG10 and BG15, plus B12 for the bird.  See if you can spot my deliberate error?  I added White Fun Flock by using my Quickie Glue pen to the santa hat for a nice effect,  The snowflake punch is a bargain at just £4.50.  I added a small clear rhinestone to the centre of the snowflake punched shapes.

All items shown here are currently available from stock.   If you cannot make the show but want to order the stamp the code is GR001 and it is called Bear and Robin and can be found in our online shop at www.stampsandmemories.co.uk, or just call our office on 01488 658728.  (Note we are closed from Wednesday 4th November to Monday 9th November).

I hope you like this cards.  This is my favourite image for 2009!

Tall Trees

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Thought you may like to see this elegant design from Leigh Hannan.  The card is a quick and easy one …The best I can manage at the moment as life is chaotic.  We were exhibiting yesterday at the Ringwood show…  and lots of brave stampers travelled despite the awlful weather including Carole, Sylvia, Jenny and another Sylvia whom all popped by to say hello.  This Wednesday we are off to the Hobbycraft at the NEC so if you are coming - pop by our stand F06  in Hall 20. (The show has moved halls!)

Anyway back to the card, it has simply been stamped with an Adirondack Expresso Inkpad and coloured with Copics.  I have added some glitter to the stars on the top of the trees using my diamond stickles and added a couple of rhinestones on a tree.  This large stamp is very flexible you could use just part of the image for a smaller card; or maybe just stamp one on the envelope.  It’s called Tall Trees and comes as a clingable stamp for just £7.99 plus P&P and is in stock ready to ship.   The clingable stamp is ready to cling to any of your acrylic blocks, so not manufacturing necessary.
