Thomas Kinkade

i354For the Newbury show I tried to think of a quick but effective way of using detailed stamps such as the Thomas Kinkade ones.  I have previously demonstrated these stamps with Versafine, Kaleidocolor (Multi-coloured) inkpads with a brayer, and even Cosmic Shimmers.  I have now found another stunning effect is if you use a Versafine inkpad and colour with chalks – it is so easy too (honestly)!!!  I had so many lovely comments about the cards at the show.  My friend Kay Carley (designer) loved my sample cards so much she has borrowed some stamps; so you may be seeing some of her creations soon!  One of the examples is shown above, I’m afraid The Forest Chapel card sample was given to my sister and her hubby for an anniversary card!  I will however recreate it soon for you to see!  Impression Obsession are well known for their stunning sceneries and have some fantastic houses, landscapes stamps which also lend themselves to these techniques.  Watch out for tomorrows blog!

I hope you like the cards… Let me know what you think?  The chalks have come down in price and are just £5.99 or £6.99 a set – unbelievable value.  Thomas Kinkade stamps ,we have a few left in stock but awaiting a new delivery.  Impression Obsession stamps are on order and due soon – and now available as cling with the Mega Mount TM.  Details on Mega mount will follow soon!

There is so many lovely new things coming soon that my blog is going to be busy over the next week or so – make sure you come back soon…. Don’t forget I’d love to hear your comments…
